“ZF consequently is expanding its transmission plant, investing more than €150 million and creating 500 new jobs. Orders like this contribute to generating the revenue we need to invest in future-oriented technology and the transformation of our company.» With its modular design featuring different launch elements, PowerLine is the ideal solution for the medium-duty truck segment of up to 26 tons, buses and coaches as well as pickup trucks, that are particularly popular in the US. The future will also see an electric version of the transmission – as a mild or plug-in hybrid. The technical design behind PowerLine can help generate fuel savings of up to 10 percent. Furthermore, it allows gearshifts that are 30 percent quicker than automated transmissions.”
ZF signed a deal with Barsan Global Logistics

The company announced “that it has signed a deal with Turkey-based Barsan Global Logistics, a global provider of integrated logistics services, to equip its commercial vehicle fleet with advanced Transics-branded connectivity solutions in Europe and the Middle East. Under the agreement, ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Control Systems division, formed from its acquisition of WABCO, will equip Barsan’s 800 trucks and 1,000 trailers with its leading Transics-branded TX-SKYTM on-board computers and its TX-TRAILERPULSETM advanced trailer monitoring and remote diagnostics solution. Connected with the cloud-based digital services platforms TX-CONNECTTM and TX-TRAILERFITTM, fleets get real-time access to operational data helping to optimize trailer capacity and utilization, while also enabling access to trailer health.
