Bobcat has announced that at Bauma 2022 the company will launch a new two-ton electric mini excavator, the latest in the ever-growing range of zero-emission compact machines.

Robert Husar, Mini-Excavator Product Line Director, Doosan Bobcat EMEA, comments: “At Bauma 2019 we launched the E10e, our first battery-powered product and the world’s first 1-ton electric mini-excavator. Like the E10e, the new two-ton machine that we are presenting at Bauma 2022 was also developed in the Innovation Center on the Dobris campus in the Czech Republic and we want to continue expanding our electrified range.”

Bobcat will unveil the latest addition to the range right at the start of the show, on Monday 24 October 2022, at the company’s stand at Bauma in Munich, along with a number of innovations and concepts, including the world’s first electrified compact tracked loader, as well as other products intended to improve productivity, autonomous operation and gamification of construction sites.

Bobcat T7X at Bauma: the world’s first electrified compact tracked loader to debut in Europe

With high performance and zero emissions, the Bobcat T7X, the world’s first electrified compact tracked loader, will also be presented for the first time at Bauma. The Bobcat T7X is a battery powered machine and has been designed to be more productive with electric propulsion and actuation, quieter with high performance torque and more powerful than other diesel-powered track loaders.

Vijay Nerva, Head of Innovation at Doosan Bobcat EMEA, adds: “The electric machines we showcase at Bauma are part of Bobcat’s plan to expand the portfolio with alternative energy sources. In essence, all powertrain components of these products are tailor-made and we are still adjusting processes with our suppliers, so that we can increase production volumes when needed.
