BorgWarner will be presenting its innovative and sustainable powertrain solutions for construction vehicles and mining applications at Bauma 2022. Highlights will include the ultra-high energy battery system and advanced eFan technology for construction vehicles, plus further 800V components including eMotors, the latest generation of inverters and high voltage coolant heaters.

The robust and scalable high-energy battery system features cylindrical cell battery modules, and it allows electric vehicles to increase their range considerably. It sets new energy density standards in the market and has an advanced battery management system. Maximum operational safety is ensured by a combination of active and passive safety devices as well as an efficient cooling system and predictive algorithms.

The BorgWarner eFan can be combined with either existing cooling fans or new fan designs to achieve highest efficiency and lowest noise. Its task is to cool components such as the fuel cell, traction motor, electric brake, or the battery pack in electric vehicles. The robust and fully encapsulated design enables reliable long-term operation even under extreme conditions.

The complete range of BorgWarner solutions for commercial vehicles, including an hydrogen injection system for internal combustion engines, was recently presented at IAA Transportation 2022.
