BMZ Group launches Power2Car wallbox
The BMZ Group, an internationally renowned specialist in lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery manufacturing, has announced the launch of Power2Car, an innovative wallbox for charging electric vehicles.
Power2Car is a pioneering wallbox solution for the home that gives electric car owners autonomy from the limited availability and pricing of public charging stations. This proprietary addition to BMZ’s product range is the result of the company’s commitment to facilitating the energy and transportation transition for families by providing them with perfectly coordinated components from a single source. For example, Power2Car works seamlessly with BMZ’s hybrid inverter Power2Grid. In combination with BMZ GridSwitch, Power2Car can also be used in “backup mode” in the event that the public power grid fails.
It is also optimized for use in combination with the BMZ home storage systems Power4Home and Hyperion. The complete combination of photovoltaic system, inverter, wallbox, grid switch, and home storage enables the perfect distribution of the surplus electricity generated by the photovoltaic system instead of feeding it into the public power grid at less attractive conditions.
Power2Car is round, weighs only 3.2 kg (without cable), and takes up very little space with a width and height of approx. 38 cm and a depth of approx. 18 cm. Installing the wallbox is easy and can be done by just one person. It can be installed almost anywhere up to altitudes of 3,000 m above sea level. It can even be used in areas with a relative humidity of up to 95%.
