The Chinese company CATL, currently the world’s largest battery manufacturer, will participate in IAA 2024, Hannover, holding a press conference and talking about the new products to be added to their portfolio. The Chinese battery giant is highly focused on the European heavy-duty electric vehicles market, with the target to supply battery packs capable to provide trucks and buses with the longest possible range.

CATL at IAA 2024: fast charging and battery swapping

In Hannover, Libin Tan, Chief Customer Officer & Senior Vice President and Aleksej Kruekov, Chief Engineer present the revolutionary CATL battery system for e-trucks and e-buses for the first time in Europe. In addition to batteries capable to stand super fast charging, CATL is working on battery swapping solutions, with the establishment of a robust network of swap stations for fleet customers. This technology has been tested and used mainly in China, We’ll know more about CATL’s plans to bring them to Europe.
