Zipwake expands its series E of inteceptors with two new models and introduces new adaptor plates to facilitate upgrades to Zipwake Series S on boats wth existing interceptors. IT 400-E is the new model of the range and features a length of 400 mm for both the straight and the chine version. Their blade rate and stroke are 40 mm/s and 60 mm respectively. This means plenty of lift force, outperforming conventional trim tabs’ control rate by a factor of 10.

Launched in 2019 the Series E is an evolved version of the successful Series S. In addition to the new IT 400-E the range includes three straight (600-800-1000 mm), three tunnel (500-600-800) and two chine models (600 mm), suitable for boats ranging from 60 to 120 ft.

Zipwake’s control panel provides easy, quick and intuitive manual control of running trim, heel or heading. However, the system normally operates in automatic control mode. The built-in high-frequency GPS, 3D gyro sensors automatically ensure dynamic elimination of uncomfortable and dangerous boat pitch and roll and automatically minimizes wave resistance and saves fuel. A 2.8” sunlight-readable colour display provides continuous feedback of boat speed, turning radius, pitch and roll angle. Its waterproof design withstands harsh marine conditions in open boats or on a flybridge. The system can be monitored and controlled by external GPS and other devices via its NMEA 2000 interface. A kit-box includes all parts – interceptors, control panel and distribution unit (DU-E) – for simple installation and easy retrofit.
