We announced it some time ago at the Grand Gala of Generazione Distribuita entrepreneurs association, DPE 2023, Distributed Power Europe, will be held in March. From the 22nd to the 24th, on the eve of spring, at Rimini Fiere (Italy), it will run concurrently with Key Energy, which is disengaging from Ecomondo to create an integrated power generation and electricity supply chain.

DPE 2023 will join K.EY. For thinking bigger

In Rimini, Italy, we witnessed a ‘zero edition’ of DPE, in 2019, among the Key Energy pavilions. Next year the location will be the same, ditto the fellow travelers, albeit untethered from the Ecomondo framework. Key Energy becomes K.EY, the expo dedicated to renewable energy, energy efficiency and all the sectors that are key players in the energy transition. A difficult choice, considering the hallmark of the Ecomondo brand, which has stamped its seal on the prefix “bio,” but an unavoidable one, if energy industry players are to be aggregated. As a note from Generazione Distribuita writes, ” therefore space for power generators, internal combustion engines, alternators, light towers, static and dynamic UPS, but also transformers, conversion systems, cables and distribution systems, static and dynamic power factor correction systems, switchboards, mechanical, electrical and electronic components and all the product categories of the industry of systems and components for the generation and distribution of electricity. A vast and comprehensive offering dedicated to designers, plant designers, distributors, utilities, consulting and engineering companies, OEMs, contractors, ESCo, maintenance and rental companies.”

Peraboni, Italian Exhibition Group CEO

DPE will be aimed primarily at countries in Europe, the Mediterranean area and the Middle East,” explains IEG CEO Corrado Peraboni, “it will take place every two years, and will propose an offer of solutions and technologies from the ‘entire industry of systems and components for the generation, and distribution of electricity absent in Italy today accompanied by a conference and training proposal with content and speakers of absolute interest for the entire distributed generation sector. For Italian Exhibition Group, the new exhibition project represents a further expansion of the technology area that it already presides over with the other events of the green and tech division and integrates perfectly with the industrial sectors related to the energy transition already present at K.EY.

Monsurro’, President of Generazione Distribuita

The quality and reliability of power generation and distribution is, today, an issue as relevant as ever,” says Marco Monsurrò, president of the Italian Association Generazione Distribuita, “and DPE responds to the demand for an event that showcases the many European companies of excellence. In addition, recent international dynamics have given significant impetus to the reshoring of the production chain in our sector, and most likely, in the coming years, Asian countries will no longer play a predominant role. It becomes strategic, therefore, for Italy and all of Europe to consolidate its engineering and production leadership role in the power generation and distribution sector. In my opinion, the DPE, in its new 2023 edition, will contribute significantly to the definition and promotion of a competitive and sustainable supply chain.
