Fieragricola Verona 2022
At Veronafiere, the 115th edition of Fieragricola closed on Saturday 5 March. MAN Engines present with engines for biogas, Doosan, Kohler and VM among the novelties of Goldoni Tractors
After the withdrawal of Agritechnica, the first agricultural exhibition of 2022 will be staged in Verona, Italy. Of course, the city of Romeo and Juliet does not offer the same critical mass as Hanover, but Fieragricola was still an opportunity for some previews.
MAN and biogas at Fieragricola 2022
Not least because of the war in Ukraine, biogas and biomethane are regaining their place on the European political agenda. MAN Engines showed on the ETS stand, the Italian distributor, the E2676 LE212, 220 kWm, the E08 LE302, 68 kWm, and the E3262 LE, the twelve-cylinder gas engine based on the E32 series. Both the E3262 LE232, for natural gas, and the E3262 LE242, for biogas and other special gases, deliver 450 kWmech at 1,500 rpm (50 Hz). This means that MAN Engines has now bridged the gap in performance between 370 and 550 kWmech, which was previously cov-ered by the earlier E2842 series.
Goldoni Tractors in back, with Doosan Infracore and VM Motori (aka FCA)
Goldoni, the historic Italian brand of specialised tractors, was purchased by Keestrack, which relaunched the original name and colours. Goldoni recovered its relationship with VM Motori, now under the banner of FCA, which with PSA created Stellantis, the automotive group led by Carlos Tavares, and exhibited the D24 from Doosan Infracore. The 4 cylinder 2.4L Diesel engine, 56 kW and 310 Nm, is another leverage of the power strategy together with VM and Kohler.
