SIMA 2022 is looking forward to the autumn edition, and doing so with impatience. Having given up on the planned 2021 event, which left the way open for a smaller but still successful EIMA, the time has come for the face-to-face meeting with the Italian competitor.

SIMA 2022 celebrates 100th anniversary

In recent years EIMA has established itself as the antagonist of Agritechnica. The figures speak for themselves. Yet SIMA’s organisers are confident that they will be able to take the vice-Hanover sceptre away from Bologna. The fair will take place from 6 to 10 November 2022 at Paris Nord Villepinte, EIMA from 9 to 13 November. The two European agricultural fairs will therefore overlap on the first four days. According to SIMA, more than 70% of the exhibition surface areas has already been sold. They report that confirmed their attendance at the show, including Amazone, Berthoud, Claas, Cnh Industrial, Dangreville, Groupe Hardi, Holmer, Horsh, Jeantil, John Deere, Krone, Kuhn, Lemken, Maschio Gaspardo, M-Xtend France, Manitou, Merlo, Rolland, Ropa, Samson, Sulky, Tecnoma, and Weidemann. Furthermore, a large number of companies have announced their return to the show, such as Agrowin, Bouchard, Gregoire Besson or Tym. Finally, the show has registered more than 77 new exhibitors to date, of which 19 in the new technologies sector, 26 in parts and components, and 20 in the machinery sector. As evidence of the continuing appeal of the French agricultural market, the SIMA’s centenary edition is marked by a strong international contingent (40% of exhibitors are from outside France and hail from 33 countries). These include the noteworthy additions of new exhibitors from Eastern and Northern Europe (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia; Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom).

SIMA TECH

As a true meeting for innovation, in particular through “SIMA TECH”, SIMA 2022 is encountering roaring success in the new technology field. This new space will bring together 135 exhibitors, including:

  • 50 start-ups which will present their latest solutions and innovations in the Start-up Village. This convivial space is a springboard to foster the emergence of young businesses among the biggest market players. Product pitches and round tables will add extra content to this village, through a dedicated speaking forum.
  • 15 exhibitors in the Robotics Village by FIRA. This will shine a light on the development of robotics in agriculture through a unique offering and a series of foresight talks and discussions, co-curated with GOFAR.
