Yanmar officially withdraws EIMA 2021 participation. The decision taken by the global engine manufacturer has become official. Let’s read from the official press release: «Despite the fact that measures are being taken worldwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and that the vaccination programme is making progress, the pandemic is not yet under control. There is still a lot of uncertainty as to what activities we can safely and responsibly undertake for everyone during the course of the year. This also applies to (international) trade fairs where thousands of visitors and exhibitors gather».

Carlo Giudici explains why Yanmar won’t be at EIMA 2021

Carlo Giudici, Sales Director at YANMAR Europe, released the following statement: «Since preparations for major events like these start months in advance, we have seen the need to already make the difficult decision not to participate in EIMA and other major trade fairs later on in the year. This decision was taken after intensive and thoughtful discussion about our plans and activities for this year and the medium term. We very much regret that, for the first time in many years, we will not be participating in EIMA. However, we continue to value and support this exhibition, which has always been important and rewarding to us. We hope to be able to join next EIMA again».

The exhibition is scheduled from 19 to 23 October, 2021

EIMA International, one of the major European exhibition for agriculture and related technologies, will be held in Bologna, Italy, from 19 to 23 October, 2021. The event was supposed to be held in November, 2020, but the pandemic forced the organizers to postpone it to February 2021 and then to October.

Last November, a digital event was held and several exhibitors took part in it. Some more major manufacturers, such as John Deere and Cummins, for instance have already announced their withdrawal from the next edition of the Italian trade fair.
