FPT Industrial, on the Bimotor stand at the Venice Boat Show, celebrated its achievement in the yachting sector. Guglielmo Tummarello, Marine segment director, gave us the best caption for this introduction: “We have developed a product line for the American market, where we have experienced exponential growth. Consider that the volume of sales we will record this year will be thirty times higher than just four years ago.”

Venice Boat Show: Customer services according to Bimotor and FPT Industrial

According to the two companies “Advanced engines need advanced customer services. That’s the FPT Industrial approach for the marine sector. Along the promise “You need the best uptime, we make it happen”, the brand has developed a series of innovative services, all based on three pillars: reliability, protection and uptime. Designed to bring customers into the world of digitalization and connectivity, the MyFPT App, delivering engine information and support through your smartphone, and the Control Room, monitoring 24/7 all connected engines and enabling predictive maintenance, are just two examples of wider scenario, built with customers’ satisfaction in mind.”

Engines under the spotlights

The shared stand showcased a powerful display of FPT Industrial’s Stage V marine range including C90 170 Stage V, N40 170 Stage V and N67 170 Stage V. The C90 170 Stage V has 8.7 liter of displacement delivering outstanding torque output and boasts best-in-class reliability with maintenance intervals every 600 hours. Without the need of an after-treatment system, HC, NOx, and PM emissions are reduced up to 30%. The N40 170 Stage V is compact, light and provides high torque density, and it’s capable of 125 kW (170 hp) at 2,300 rpm. Last but not least the N67 170 Stage V, here combined with an alternator for illustrative purposes: a variable speed generator by Bimotor.

The 59th International Art Exhibition

A different exhibition and a different space, but always with an FPT Industrial engine in the spotlight. FPT Industrial is a technical sponsor of the Italian Pavilion at the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, promoted by the Directorate-General Contemporary Creativity – Ministry of Culture confirming the brand’s commitment to sustainability through contemporary art. The whole pavilion is dedicated to an artwork by artist Gian Maria Tosatti with an environmental installation, curated by Eugenio Viola, called Storia della Notte e Destino delle Comete [History of Night and Destiny of Comets], which explores the relationship between man and nature and encourages reflection on the current state of humanity and its future prospects, explicitly referring to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The spaces dedicated to the final vision, Destiny of Comets, which carries a message of hope about the destiny awaiting humanity, feature the engine loaned for the project by FPT Industrial, which the artist has placed at the center of one of his scenarios. The technical support to the Italian Pavilion is another accolade in the FPT Arts ecosystem, which formed parts in 2019 with the brand being main sponsor of La Biennale di Venezia. FPT Industrial promoted the site specific installation Consider yourself as a guest (Cornucopia) by Christian Holstad, to make people think about the urgent problem of the sea pollution, stemming from the importance marine engine production has for the Brand. Through artworks, the brand made easy to understand its commitment in sustainable products and its production processes.

Aprilia Racing

Do you remember the partnership between FPT Industrial and Aprilia Range? On May 30th, representatives of the Aprilia Racing Team in the MotoGP World Championship, of which FPT Industrial is Official Sponsor, were present at the Venice Boat Show stand for a meet & greet with visitors and fans. Among the team members, also Lorenzo Savadori, racer and tester of the Aprilia Racing MotoGP who supported – together with engineers and technicians of the team – the development of the RS-GP bike, which is on a streak of 4 consecutives podiums and leader among the teams this season so far. FPT Industrial and Aprilia Racing Team share a focus on technology and innovation that let them constantly improve both their product portfolios and production processes. This is made possible by the strong emphasis the two companies place on their people, as well as attention to detail being firmly ingrained in the respective corporate DNAs.
