FPT Industrial is currently on French Riviera to attend the Cannes Yachting Festival, Europe’s top in-water boat show and the world’s no. 1 show for large sailboats. From September 10 to 15, 2024 as a guest at the stand of its long-time partner and distributor Bimotor, FPT Industrial is giving visitors a significant glimpse of its extensive marine range, showcasing two relevant products from its renowned NEF range, namely the N40 250 E and the N67 570 EVO.

The NEF Series is the brand’s largest family of engines for pleasure and commercial marine purposes, with four different displacements, from 4 to 6.7 l, available in both mechanical and electronic versions. Both engines to be on display stand out for their advanced mechanical fuel injection and electronic Common Rail systems and guarantee excellent levels of performance due to their lightweight and compact design, low fuel consumption and reduced noise and vibrations.

Compact and cost-effective, the lightweight N40 250 E marine engine provides state-of-the-art diesel technology (Common Rail and electronic systems, 4 valves/cylinder) along with reduced noise and vibration for cruisers and yachts of up to 12 meters long. It comes in recreational, light-, medium- and heavy-duty versions, and can be customized upon request. Options include electronic remote control, monitoring systems and compliance with international emission standards such as IMO MARPOL Tier 2, EU-RCD, EU-IWV Stage V for ratings below 130 kW without the need for an ATS and RINA type approval. The service intervals of up to 600 hours, the best in its class, further reduce both running and maintenance costs.

The 6.7-liter N67 570 EVO marine engine delivers up to 419 kW and maximum torque at low rpm and offers short load response times to top the performance rankings in its power class. Its layout and specific settings are highly focused on marine duties, with both the engine and turbocharger cooling systems specifically optimized for this purpose. In order to make installation easier, the oil cooler, oil pump, water pump and blow-by system have been integrated into the engine’s design. Advanced diagnostic equipment makes engine servicing easier and downtime is minimized with oil and filter replacement intervals of up to 300 hours.
