Rolls-Royce mtu and Sanlorenzo have reached, on the occasion of the Monaco Yacht Show, an agreement to confirm their collaboration in view of the technologies planned for the coming years: Rolls-Royce’s Power Systems business unit will be one of Sanlorenzo’s main suppliers for the next three years. In fact, it will supply the engines for some yachts of the SL line, to be precise of the 10V, 12V and 16V mtu 2000 with a compact Imo 3 solution. Sanlorenzo will also be one of the first builders to equip a yacht with the new fully integrated Rolls-Royce mtu NautIQ Bridge, created by mtu in collaboration with Team Italia specialists.

Denise Kurtulus, Vice President Global Marine at Rolls-Royce Power Systems (in the picture, together with Massimo Perotti, Ceo of Sanlorenzo), commented: “In recent years, we have put a lot of effort in evolving into a provider of integrated and sustainable solutions. The new framework agreement with our partner Sanlorenzo is a fantastic confirmation of this strategy as we will not only continue to deliver our trusted Series 2000 engines which offer industry-leading power and efficiency, but also complete propulsion and ship management solutions from bridge to propeller.”

In addition to the collaboration with Sanlorenzo, in Monaco Rolls-Royce Power Systems also confirmed the agreement with Overmarine, demonstrating how important it is for the company to be considered a pioneer in sustainable marine propulsion technology. With this goal on the horizon, mtu will work in the future with Sea Machines Robotics for the automation part, with great advantage in terms of operation, safety, efficiency and environmental impact.
