Hatz brought a complete range of air- and liquid-cooled engines with Stage V certification

Hatz offers its Stage V-compliant engines for mobile machines with official certification from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). The certification applies to air-cooled engines of the B-, D-, G-, L- and M-series with a power output of less than 19 kilowatts. Since 2013, these engines have fulfilled the EPA Tier 4 final emission stage and have now also been certified in accordance with EU Stage V regulations, without any technical modifications or additional exhaust gas aftertreatment.

In addition, the corresponding KBA certifications also exist for the liquid-cooled Hatz H-Series motors 3H50TICD and 4H50TICD in the power classes from 19 to 55 kilowatts.

For the environment: Hatz H-series

The Hatz H-series engines are a consistent new development based on the downsizing principle. Selected materials, combined with components such as turbochargers or the Bosch common rail system (off-highway version), come together to form one powerhouse with low displacement. To meet the requirements of Stage V, the three- and four-cylinder engines are also equipped with a separable combination of diesel oxidation catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter (DOC/DPF).

HATZ PRESS CONFERENCE AT BAUMA

With optiHEAT (optimised Hatz Exhaust Aftertreatment Technology), the Hatz engineers worked on the design of the DPF in terms of size, optimum adaptation to the possible load profiles in use and a regeneration strategy in line with requirements. In addition, combustion is perfected with iHACS (intelligent Hatz Advanced Combustion Strategy). iHACS ensures low soot input from combustion as well as very low oil consumption and significantly reduced ash input into the filter. The result is a long filter service life with a comparatively small size. Hatz achieved another innovation with diesel article filter regeneration. For the first time, an automatic cylinder deactivation during standstill regeneration was integrated in industrial diesel engines.

Connected Services for small equipment

Hatz is integrating light equipment as well as compact machines into the digital world of Industry 4.0 with its Connected Services. To close the gap between industrial digitalisation and machines that were previously manually controlled and operated.

Machine manufacturers, owners, users, workshops or rental companies all benefit equally from the networked services. Networking with automated transmission of engine and machine data accelerates existing processes, for example in the recording, transmission and evaluation of operating hours, consumption values, engine speeds, temperatures or pressures. In combination with suitable software, maintenance can be planned, operating materials and spare parts can be ordered according to actual requirements or deployment planning for machines can be drawn up.

Connected Services also provide the basis for completely new digital applications, regardless of in which machine component the data is created. The recording and bundling of data packages enable scenarios such as integration into Internet of Things (IoT) applications, cloud services, internet-based location determination, remote monitoring or geoposition-dependent operating modes such as automatic conversion to alternative fuels or low-emission eco-mode.
