The 45th edition of EIMA International returns to its traditional temporal location in even years and therefore from 9 to 13 November 2022. Great emphasis will also be given this year to specialized exhibitions dedicated to components, gardening, bioenergy, irrigation and digital.
After the success of October 2021, the 45th edition of EIMA International returns to its traditional temporal location in even years and therefore from 9 to 13 November 2022. There are 1,400 companies (460 foreign companies) that have so far booked their exhibition space for over 115 thousand square meters in total, engaged with 50 thousand vehicles and equipment.
Great importance will also be given this year to specialized trade shows dedicated to components, gardening, bioenergy, irrigation and digital. There are many innovations relating to the latter with new initiatives that will allow you to learn more about the characteristics of Agriculture 4.0, and the EIMA Robot area with a focus on robotics for the sector.
The outdoor area will then be expanded and will include, in addition to the tests of machines and equipment for bioenergy, also an operating space reserved for gardening machines.
Road Show EIMA 2022
For the promotion of the EIMA, FederUnacoma has launched an articulated plan for 2022 – printed matter, videos, social activities, etc. – which also includes a series of press conferences in Italy and abroad, reserved for those in charge of communication and the mechanical-agricultural supply chain.
Numerous appointments have already been made in Italy and abroad on the occasion of trade fairs in the sector or with events organized ad hoc. Among the former we mention Verona (Fieragricola), Bari (Enoliexpo), Buenos Aires (Expoagro), Bastia Umbra (Agriumbria), Saragozza (Fima), Ribeirao Preto (Agrishow), Birmingham (Lemma), Novi Sad (Agricultural Fair) between March and April. Dedicated events were held in Tunisia and Athens between June and July.
Other presentations are also scheduled in the United States for the AG Summit – annual meeting of the country’s sector press -, in India for EIMA Agrimach and in Poland for Agro Show.
39th edition of the EIMA Technical Innovation Competition
According to a research by the magazine “L’Informatore Agrario” carried out in collaboration with the University of Padua and presented at EIMA 2021, there are currently about a hundred agricultural robots on the international scene, many still in the prototype phase. Of these, twenty-four were produced by large US groups, sixteen by Dutch companies, twelve by French companies and seven by German companies in the sector. With four examples of the latest generation robots, the Italian companies, on an equal footing with the English, Danish and Spanish ones, have won fifth place in the global automation ranking.
44% of the robots produced up to now are destined for herbaceous crops, 35% for trees, 21% for horticulture. And they are overwhelmingly powered by an electric (78%) or diesel (14%) motor. Only 8% is hybrid. Finally, just 3% is an autonomous tractor while over 30% is intended for mechanical weeding or harvesting. Together with the electric machines, the robots respond to the demand for greater control and transmission capacity and higher efficiency.
