Caterpillar 2020. At ConExpo, she was the most desired. And the spotlights showed her in all her beauty. Caterpillar didn’t let herself be prayed to and revealed an anthological overview. Find out the Stage V machinery. Let’s start with the most popular theme, digitization. Let’s go to explore the Caterpillar 2020 media center (and keep from our tool kit the implements to discover reliable engines for hard machinery and tough works, such as 990k aggregate handler).
Cat Productivity is an easy to implement cloud-based application that provides a complete overview of machine and jobsite production. It is a data rich tool that delivers consolidated and actionable site-level information to analyze performance, improve productivity and increase profits. New features communicate and consolidate performance metrics on a single, easy-to-read dashboard, providing quick oversight of multiple jobs. Available mid-2020, Cat Productivity will provide critical jobsite metrics, such as productivity, utilization and cost. Cat Productivity provides key equipment performance data needed to draw the full potential out of every asset. Cat Productivity tracks and reports detailed information on what the machine is doing. Actionable information is accessible wherever the user is, via web browsers on desktops or mobile devices, and includes metrics, such as truck identity, idle time, fuel burn, location, payload, load counts, total cycles and more. The sophisticated analytics provided by Cat Productivity deliver a deeper level of actionable insight, allowing users to dramatically improve machine efficiency, productivity, utilization and reduced per-unit costs. The latest version of Cat Productivity has expanded to cover a broader range of new and previous-model Cat machines and offers richer data sets when Cat machines are equipped with Cat Production Measurement or Truck Payload Measurement System. In addition, Cat Productivity can now be configured to capture and analyze data from mixed equipment fleets, giving companies better insight into overall jobsite production statistics.
Cat Command
Cat Command for Compaction. What is this? An in-cab display with an intuitive, touchscreen interface makes setup easy and the system connects to common base stations with no back office or design needed. The operator uses the machine to map the boundaries of the area to be compacted and enters the compaction parameters. Once the operator places the machine in “auto,” the system will control the propulsion, steering and vibration of the machine. Recent jobs are saved in the system and can be accessed through the touchscreen interface. An integrated object detection system alerts the operator if an object is in the pathway. If there is an area that cannot be compacted using vibration, the operator can choose to turn the vibration system off and give control back to the system once the area has been passed.
Dozers
And now, some of the new construction machinery. Dozers, equipped with Cat C3.6, 68.8 and 77.6 kW. The new D2 and D3 Next Gen small dozers are powered by the fuel-efficient Cat C3.6 diesel engine, which meets EU Stage V emission standards. The dozers’ large, hinged door providing easy engine service access to all regular engine maintenance points has been moved to the right-hand side of the new machines. While offering the same net power ratings as their previous series counterpart models, these new Next Gen dozers deliver up to 10 percent improved fuel economy. Eco Mode, available in forward/reverse or reverse only options, improves fuel economy by automatically reducing engine speed when not required. When load changes necessitate higher engine RPM, Eco Mode automatically allows the engine to deliver maximum speed and power until the load decreases.
Mini excavator
Mini excavator. Offering big performance features in a mini excavator, the new Cat 306.5 delivers lift performance of up to 2 115 kg (4,662.7 lb) at a 3 m (9.8 ft) radius. Enhanced uphill swing torque and increased cycle times provide greater productivity and efficiency. The machine’s fuel-saving, load-sensing hydraulic system with an electronically controlled variable-displacement piston pump generates 104 L/min (27.4 gal/min) hydraulic oil flow. It offers the hydraulic capacity for increased travel performance and higher digging forces than competitive units. The Cat C2.4 turbo diesel engine rated at 34.9 kW (46.8 net hp) powers the new 306.5 mini excavator. It features a power-dense design and delivers consistent performance through a wide speed range. Automatic engine idle and shutdown features help to save on fuel consumption.
