The smallest Magni TH is powered by Deutz
MAGNI unveiled at Intermat its first TH 3.6 compact telehandler, powered by Deutz, 55 kW. An agricultural version is coming soon.
Deutz is Magni’s low-power engine partner. The Italian OEM, which is focused in telescopic handlers, believes so much in the potential of its range that it has expanded it downward into the compact machine category.
Deutz 55 kW Diesel engine for the the Magni TH 3.6
About the engine we know the name of the manufacturer, Deutz AG, and the power rating, 55 kW. A rating shared by the TCD2.2, TCD2.9 and TCD3.6 Diesel engines. The choice of the Via Emilia manufacturer (right across the street from the Manitou plant) therefore focused on torque availability and dimensional standards. With 3 tons capacity and 5.8 meters in height, the new TH 3.6 mixes small size and high performance. In fact, the most compact fixed telescopic handler in the TH range, intended for construction and logistics is capable of carrying a full load to a height of 5.4 meters, 2,500 kg at maximum height and 1,100 kg at over 3 meters horizontal reach. For the first time, the manufacturer has officially declared the preparation of a future version specifically for the agricultural industry.
A machine overview
In fact, the new TH 3.6 adopted a low frame that allows it to work in very tight spaces. The transmission is electronically controlled hydrostatic, and the dimensions allow it to be transported by dump truck or inside a container. However, the ground clearance is high allowing it to move smoothly over rough terrain to operate nimbly off-road. This is also thanks to all-wheel drive. There are, of course, three steering modes (front wheel, all-wheel steering and crab steering) for a maximum speed of 35 km/h.
On board is the appreciated Magni Combi Touch System software that provides full control of the machine. This is with a simple interface that is highly intuitive for the operator. Indeed, from the main menu it is possible to access thematic pages containing all the features characteristic of the entire TH range. This also includes all the working diagrams. In addition, the Magni TH 3.6 differs substantially from the more technological competitor models on the market equipped with load cell systems. It is in fact present on board the “Load Moment Indicator” load control system. This is a system available on the entire range of Magni telehandlers. In fact, it allows the machine’s movements to be constantly monitored to avoid any kind of overloading. In fact, when the system detects inconsistencies in operation, it stops all aggravating movements and only authorizes operations that can be carried out safely.
