Doosan 6 and 8 t mini-excavators are ready for Stage V with Yanmar

Doosan is introducing new versions of its 6-ton DX62R-3 and DX63-3 and 8-ton DX85R-3 mini-excavators compliants with Stage V emission standards.

The 8 t Doosan DX85R-3 is powered by a Yanmar 4TNV98C Common Rail direct injection diesel engine with 44.3 kW of power output at 2100 rpm. The transition to Stage V was possible thanks to a post-treatment system with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel particulate filter (DPF).

The new Stage V versions of the 6-ton DX62R3 and DX63-3 models are equipped with the same Yanmar 4TNV98C diesel, with a 22% increase in engine power compared to the previous generation models.

excavators

The DX62R-3, DX63-3 and DX85R-3 mini-excavators have been designed to offer levels of performance, versatility, operator comfort, sturdiness, durability and maintenance simplicity at the top of their respective classes.

In addition to the increase in engine power, the 6 t excavators also stand out thanks to their hydraulic performance, with a maximum flow rate of 132 L/min. The hydraulic system now incorporates a Load Sensing system that ensures high hydraulic performance and smooth and efficient combined movements.

Both machines also have high digging forces: the digging force to the bucket is 4.4 t and that to the arm 2.9 t. More digging force, therefore, but also a new longer balance wheel that widens the field of action of the machines. The traction force is 5.6 t and the travel speed is 2.6 km/h in low gear and 4.7 km/h in high gear.

Easy maintenance

The technology incorporated in these excavators integrates the powerful performance with simple and convenient maintenance procedures. Convenient control points simplify routine maintenance, while the tilting cab facilitates service.

The large capacity radiator ensures optimal performance even in difficult and uninterrupted conditions. Convenient accessibility simplifies radiator and heat exchanger cleaning. All engine components are accessible from the same side of the machine, while the engine oil and fuel filters are removable for even easier maintenance.

The two-stage air filter removes over 99% of airborne particulates, reducing the risk of engine contamination.
