Himoinsa has signed a strategic agreement with Peak Gen Power to deliver 10 units of the HGY Series generators for a critical mission project in the United Kingdom.

The agreement entails a total of 20 MW of power that will supply energy exclusively using HVO fuel. The plant will ensure a reliable supply for UK costumers, helping to provide carbon free power at times of national need, as well as services to the GB National Energy System Operator.

We are delighted to sign this agreement, as we see Himoinsa as a strategic partner for critical mission energy supply. We’ve already collaborated successfully on other projects, and trust their technological capabilities. The opportunity to utilize the competitive advantages of the HGY Series, with the new Yanmar engine, is very exciting and it truly represents a step forward for everyone. We’ve already started developing the project and expect to successfully commission it next summer,” said Ian Graves, Chief Executive Officer at Peak Gen.

The agreement with Peak Gen, involves Himoinsa delivering ten units of the HGY-2600 D5 model, equipped with the 12GY175 engine. All units comply with DEFRA regulations, emitting less than 190 mg/Nm³ of NOx, thanks to an advanced post-treatment gas system, and will operate on HVO100 fuel.

“This capacity market project will help us to create something truly important for the UK’s renewable infrastructure for many years to come. The power plant will be one of the first in the country to use exclusively HVO fuel. Peak Gen’s commitment strengthens our confidence in the HGY Series as a reliable solution for critical mission applications and sustainable energy solutions,” said Ian Graves.

The power plant, located in Peterborough (England), will be monitored 24/7 with constant supervision to ensure optimal performance and maximum security. The ten generators will be synchronized and will supply power in less than 30 seconds from the start signal. The units will be delivered in soundproofed versions, in ISO 40ft containers, and will replace the current generators operating at the plant with the aim of ensuring a more sustainable energy solution, in terms of emission reductions, and state-of-the-art technology.

This project not only represents a significant advancement for Peak Gen’s operations but also for Himoinsa, as it marks the company’s first project with the HGY Series in the United Kingdom.

We are confident that we are providing a complete solution for our client. Equipment designed with the latest technology, ensuring low emissions and maximum performance. Without a doubt, one of the most competitive solutions currently available in the critical mission energy generation sector,” explained Clive Dix, Managing Director of Himoinsa Power Solutions.
