JENDER has established and is now structured to promote one of the most vibrant power generation supply chains in the international energy scenario: Turkey. What is JENDER?

JENDER represents the Turkish generator manufacturing industry

JENDER represents the Turkish generator and power systems manufacturing sector with a turnover of 1.5 billion dollars and exporting to nearly 180 countries as the “Source of Uninterrupted Energy and Power”. The main goal is to bring together under one roof the companies that produce generators, cogeneration, trigeneration, renewable energy-related hybrid systems, gas and hydrogen fueled power systems, electricity storage, alternators, containers, control systems and other power system main components that contribute positively to our country’s current balance with their high export potential. Officially established in Istanbul on May 16, 2024, the association started its activities with the first general assembly meeting held on July 12 and formed a Board of Directors.

Mission

According to the association, the Turkish generator manufacturing industry realizes 6% of the world’s diesel generator sector and ranks second in the world in the 75-375 kVA power range. Turkish generator manufacturers, which are members of JENDER and are among the world’s largest generator manufacturers, have a competitive position worldwide. More than 20 main manufacturers in Türkiye provide direct employment for 10,000 people and indirect employment for 40,000 people. With more than 1,000 manufacturers and suppliers in total, the sector offers employment opportunities for more than 100,000 people in Turkey. The sector’s goal is to deliver Turkish branded generators to 200 countries around the world. Currently, it has a 5% share in the global market with domestic and export sales of 800 million USD. 2.4% of Turkey’s total exports are met by diesel generator exports.

A message from the top

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Rıdvan ÖZER, said, “As JENDER, we will continue our efforts to represent the Turkish generator and power systems manufacturing sector in the best way possible worldwide and to increase the quality and reputation of Turkish branded generators. Our goal is to carry our sector to a more competitive position in global markets and to make a positive contribution to the economic balance of our country.”
