H2Power is an example of how technology upgrades continue to come from the road and show the way to other sectors. In this case, from buses to commercial vehicles to off-highway and stationary applications.

The fuell cell company is the result of an insight by Rampini

The Italian minibus manufacturer is no stranger to the hydrogen business, as demonstrated by the fuel cell buses soon to be on the road in Vienna. This momentum led to the creation of H2EUPower, which has announced a range of hydrogen fuel cell power system solutions with outputs from 30 to 140 kilowatts, targeting commercial vehicles, off-highway machines, and stationary applications across Europe.Although part of the Rampini group, H2EUPower operates “independently from the parent company in both the technical and commercial aspects of its business,” according to the press release announcing the launch. Initially formed as a hydrogen mobility engineering team within Rampini — the manufacturer of the only 8-meter fuel cell bus available on the European market — H2EUPower was formally established as an independent division in early 2024. Its goal is to extend the benefits of design, performance, and supply chain efficiency to OEMs throughout the European hydrogen ecosystem.

The company adds that in the following months, the division strengthened its team with leading technical and commercial experts in fuel cell power systems, amassing experience from over 25 fuel cell power system OEM design wins across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. H2EUPower’s portfolio includes solutions ranging from 30 to 140 kW. The systems are offered as modular, customizable solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each application.

The division is led by Luigi Fusi, who said: “Over the last few months, H2EUPower has done an incredible job in putting all the experience we have had with OEMs around the world, and producing what I believe is truly the best of breed solution for our European customers. We are just getting started full scale now! We have a number of very exciting technological and sales options we are looking forward to sharing with the market in the upcoming weeks and months.”
