Wacker Neuson accelerates on the electrification pedal. It takes meticulous care and planning of battery cycles to fulfill the mission of working in such stressful environments for operating machines. An example of this commitment is provided by the agreement with Dana. The German company has stamped the “green” seal on new rammers, vibratory plates and mini-dumpers.

Wacker Neuson and electrification. Battery-powered rammers

#switchtogreen: that’s the policy for the first half of 2024 for the Wacker Neuson electrification strategy, which is introducing several new products within its fleet of machinery, all specially designed to reduce harmful gas emissions. These include, in particular, battery-powered rammers, the WP1550e one-way battery-powered vibratory plate and the DV125 Dual View Dumper. Wacker Neuson’s new generation of battery-powered rammers has many advantages: they provide exceptional compaction results, are easy to start (via a push-button) and emit no exhaust gases. Other important new features include active cooling for optimal temperature management and a battery stand-by mode for an easy start-up process. The powerful WM80 motor (designed by the company) enables unrestricted efficiency and productivity in uneasy conditions, while the slim and compact design makes maneuvering easy.

Equipped with DireX, the WP1550e enables not only efficient compaction but also extended battery life. The electric motor is maintenance-free, and the low hand-arm vibrations (< 5 m/s²) ensure comfortable working even over long periods of time. Like all Wacker Neuson green construction equipment, this plate is used with the Battery One battery, which is also compatible with construction equipment from other manufacturers.

The Dual View Dumper series expands with the DV125, suitable for material handling thanks to its 12,500 kg payload. In addition, the DV125 features many useful technologies for the construction site, among the most innovative being skip and tilt monitoring function, Hillhold function, laminated safety glass. The compact design and Dual View operating concept with the 180-degree rotatable control console allow a wide and unobstructed view while driving, maneuvering as well as during loading and unloading-a huge advantage especially for working in confined spaces.
