Cummins announced the acquisition of assets of First Mode, a company active in retrofit hybrid solutions for mining and rail operations. The acquisition includes hybrid mining and rail product lines, and the full IP portfolio which includes hydrogen and battery powertrain solutions.

Through its collaboration with Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), Allison will offer a new propulsion solution for the mining industry. The first series of 225 trucks equipped with TerraTran have been delivered and are supporting mining operations in Brazil.
