Scout Motors will install MAN large-scale heat pumps for heating and air-conditioning at a new electric vehicle production facility in the USA. This major venture is part of a multi-billion investment by Volkswagen in the American company.

A few days ago, at the Zwickau vehicle plant, Volkswagen commissioned the first fast-charging park in Saxony, which is supplied with energy largely from a so-called power storage container, a kind of enormous electricity storage unit which consists of 96 cell modules with a net capacity of 570 kWh.

It will be the largest industrial investment in Spain’s history: construction of the first battery gigafactory, funded by Volkswagen and SEAT, will begin in the first quarter of 2023 and will lead to the creation of over 3,000 jobs.
